DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

In the morning, the President will deliver remarks marking the fifth anniversary of the Affordable Care Act and highlighting how the health care law is improving health care quality and lowering costs. The President’s remarks will be at a kick-off meeting of the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network, which aims to bring public and private sector actors together to build on the Affordable Care Act’s efforts to move health care toward a system that provides the best care for patients and pays providers based on the quality, rather than the quantity of care they give patients. The President’s remarks in the South Court Auditorium are open press.

Later in the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with Secretary of Health and Human Services Burwell in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will meet with local elected officials and small business exporters on trade. There will be a pool spray at the bottom of this meeting in the Roosevelt Room.
