Separated at birth? Striking resemblance between Tom Ricketts and Ted Cruz

Social media erupted after Texas senator Ted Cruz announced his presidential candidacy this week.

The big deal around Chicago wasn’t Cruz’s politics, but the striking resemblance he shares with Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts.

Ricketts was asked about his doppelganger at a luncheon Wednesday at a City Club of Chicago event.

“It’s just a resemblance to Ted Cruz,” Ricketts said. “I’ve never met Ted Cruz. I think my family knows him pretty well, but a few people sent me those pictures yesterday and it was kind of funny.”
