The Congress Parkway bridge connected to the Eisenhower Expressway downtown will be closed for several hours early Sunday for maintenance.

The movable bascule bridge over the Chicago River will be closed from midnight until 5 a.m. Sunday, the Chicago Department of Transportation said in a statement.

Crews will test the bridge lifting systems and perform routine maintenance, CDOT said.

Traffic will be detoured around the closure via Wells, Harrison and Canal streets.
