Bond was denied for a west suburban man charged with breaking into a Chinatown building and sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman Sunday night, police said.
Forest Park resident Latayuss Curry, 21, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, home invasion and kidnapping by force, police announced Tuesday night.
About 10:15 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to the 2200 block of South Stewart for a report of a burglary in progress, police said.
They found that Curry had forcibly entered a building and sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman, police said. She was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center for treatment, but her condition was not disclosed.
A judge on Wednesday ordered Curry held without bond, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. He is next scheduled to appear in court on April 13.
