The White House has announced that President Barack Obama will host a meeting with Pope Francis at the White House on Sept. 23.
It will be Pope Francis’ first visit to the United States as pope.
Francis is already scheduled to address a joint meeting of Congress on Sept. 24 and will address the annual United Nations General Assembly of world leaders on Sept. 25.
Obama and Francis previously met at the Vatican in March 2014.
