Venta Airwasher Inc. is moving its U.S. headquarters to the West Loop from Mount Prospect.

Venta, which makes equipment that purifies and humidifies air, expects to move into its permanent home later this month at 300 N. Elizabeth St. The company’s 13 staffers have worked in temporary digs in the same building since November.

“Venta Airwasher is eager to join the ranks of exciting companies like Uber and Google, who are also relocating to the meatpacking district in the West Loop,” president Barbara Straubenger said in a news release. “The expansion of the dining and entertainment scene in this area makes this the perfect location for welcoming international partners and guests, allowing us to show them some of the best Chicago has to offer.”

Venta worked with MB Real Estate to find the office space.

Venta was founded in Germany in 1981.
