A 62-year-old woman was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side Monday night.

About 7 p.m., the woman was in the 7300 block of South Winchester when a male got out of a van and shot toward another group of males also on the block, police said.

The woman heard gunshots and felt pain, police said. She suffered a graze wound to her lower back.

She was taken to a hospital in good condition, police said.

Authorities said the woman was likely not the intended target of the shooting.
