A man was shot in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side Monday evening.

About 6:30 p.m., the man was in the 7100 block of South Vernon when he was shot in the right arm, police said.

He took himself to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, police said. His exact age and condition were not known.
