While neither Chris Brown nor anyone in his camp was commenting Wednesday on the report the R&B superstar is the father of a 9-month-old girl, Brown’s on-again-off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran has seemingly settled the issue.
Tran took to Twitter to comment on Brown’s paternity — supposedly confirmed by him to her. In her tweet, Tran wrote, “One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.”
This all came as news broke — first via TMZ — that a 31-year-old ex-model named Nia is the mother of the little girl. While Nia is no longer involved in a romantic relationship with Brown, the former couple are said to be on good terms. There are said to be no legal support arrangements yet in place, but it is assumed that Brown is helping out with the child’s financial care.
TMZ further reports that the music star is happy to be a proud papa.
Brown and Nia reportedly have been friends for many years.
Tran and Brown were last seen together Feb. 17 at a New York Fashion Week event, and as recently as three months ago strong engagement rumors were flying.
Those now obviously are history.
