Homewood-Floosmoor’s Destin Barnes burns Stagg for 32 points in regional win

There may come a time when a young Stagg team starting a junior and three sophomores will upend Homewood-Flossmoor.

That time, however, wasn’t on Wednesday, although the Chargers put a mild scare into the Vikings.

Destin Barnes scored a game-high 32 points and Terrence Bradley added 14 to lead H-F to a 66-50 win over Stagg in the Class 4A Thornton Regional semifinal.

Two months in prison for retired Chicago firefighter who helped with ‘Tunnel’ siege at U.S. Capitol

Joseph Pavlik spent 33 years as a firefighter before retiring in 2013, prosecutors said. He went to the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, with a tactical vest, helmet, goggles, a gas mask and a can of chemical spray.
