A man was shot inside a store Thursday morning in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old was inside a store in the 1200 block of West 69th Street about 9:15 a.m. when he was shot, police said.

He was shot in the shoulder and abdomen, and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said.

A police source said the victim, a self-admitted gang member, is not cooperating with investigators. The shooting is thought to be gang-related.

Police could not confirm reports that the shots were fired from outside the store.
