A 16-year-old boy was shot Saturday evening in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.
The teenager was standing outside about 7:55 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Kimbark when a male approached and opened fire, police said. The shooter then ran away.
The boy was shot in the knee and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
