A male was shot in the Ashburn neighborhood on the Southwest Side early Saturday.

About 1:30 a.m., the male — whose age was not immediately known — was shot in the arm in the 4600 block of West 82nd Street, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro, citing preliminary information.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition had stabilized, Alfaro added.
