Nine hurt in West Side crash

Nine people were injured — one seriously — after a car and a CTA bus collided on the West Side Saturday morning.

The accident happened at 7:05 a.m. near Roosevelt and Independence, according to police and fire officials.

One person in serious-to-critical condition was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Juan Hernandez said. Two others who were in good-to-fair condition were also taken to Mount Sinai.

Additionally, three people were taken to Saint Anthony Hospital, while three went to Stroger Hospital, Hernandez said. All were in good-to-fair condition.

Chicago Police did not have additional details about the accident.
