A man was shot in the South Side Avalon Park neighborhood Sunday afternoon.
The 20-year-old man was shot in the 8500 block of South Stony Island, police said.
He took himself to South Shore Hospital with a gunshot wound to the thumb, police said. Additional details weren’t known.
