Man shot on Southwest Side

A man was shot early Sunday in the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood.

The 30-year-old man was walking through an alley in the 7700 block of South Kedzie about 12:30 a.m. when two males walked up and began a conversation with him, police said.

One of the males then pulled out a gun and fired shots, striking the man in the arm, police said. The males ran away southbound.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
