SHARE Police: Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in Sauk Village

(SAUK VILLAGE) A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Sunday night in south suburban Sauk Village, according to police.

The man, described only as an adult, was walking on I-394 near Sauk Trail “for unknown reasons” when he was struck by a southbound vehicle at 10:08 p.m., according to Illinois State Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle stayed at the scene, police said. The driver was not facing charges or citations as of Monday morning.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not confirm the fatality as of Monday morning.
