A man is in critical condition after jumping from a South Loop bridge into the Chicago River Tuesday morning.

The 35-year-old jumped from a bridge in the 200 block of West Roosevelt at 10:42 a.m., police said.

Police and Fire department marine units responded to the scene, and the man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
