Boy, 13, shot in Englewood

A 13-year-old boy was shot Wednesday night in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

The boy was walking on the sidewalk in the 5700 block of South Bishop about 10 p.m. when he “heard shots and felt pain,” police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

The boy was shot in the left leg and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition stabilized.
