Two northwest suburban men are facing multiple drug charges after police pulled their vehicle over Monday and found heroin hidden inside, authorities said.

Dustin B. Dodge, 34; and Dale M. Hoagland, 32, were arrested following the traffic stop near Elm Street and Riverside Drive in McHenry, according to a statement from the McHenry County sheriff’s office.

Deputies obtained consent to search the vehicle and found 25 grams of raw heroin hidden in a concealed compartment, police said. The drugs have an estimated street value of $5,000.

Dodge, of Island Lake; and Hoagland, of McHenry, were both charged with delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park and possession of a controlled substance, police said. Dodge was also cited for driving with a suspended license.

Both were ordered held on $200,000 bonds and will next appear in court Friday in Woodstock, police said.
