Overnight lane closures are scheduled throughout the weekend to accommodate widening of Route 390 in northwest suburban Schaumburg.

Starting at 7 p.m. Friday, one lane of Rodenburg Road in each direction will be closed at Route 390, according to the Illinois Tollway.

The closures will allow for installation of bridge beams to support a third lane in each direction on Route 390 over Rodenburg as part of the Elgin-O’Hare Western Access Project, according to the Tollway.

Intermittent full closures of Rodenburg will last 15 minutes each between 8 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday, the Tollway said. All lanes will be reopened by 10 a.m. Saturday.

Additionally, one eastbound lane of Route 390 will close after 9 p.m. Friday, with a westbound lane scheduled to close after 10 p.m., according to the Tollway. The westbound lane will reopen by 6 a.m. Saturday, and the eastbound lane by 8 a.m.
