Johnsburg beats Marengo

After a fifth-inning rally pulled Marengo within two runs, coach Josh Maas knew the Indians had to shut down Johnsburg in the next inning to keep the game within reach.

They got two thirds of the way there.

An error prevented the Indians from completing the 1-2-3 inning and Johnsburg made them pay with four unearned runs in the Skyhawks’ 10-4 victory at Marengo High School on Tuesday.
