Two 22-year-old men shot in Roseland

Two men were shot Wednesday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The shooting happened in the 200 block of East 107^th Street at 12:10 p.m., police said.

A 22-year-old was shot in the arm and is in good condition; and the other man, also 22, was shot in the left eye and is in fair condition, police said. Both were taken to Roseland Hospital.

According to a police source, one of the men is a documented gang member.

An investigation that began after a complaint was filed to HUD by the Chicago Area Fair Housing Alliance and nine other advocacy groups in November 2018 said Chicago City Council members have “unfettered power over zoning, land use, city lots and public financing in order to decide where, if and how affordable housing is built in their wards.”
