Three people were arrested late Wednesday after the vehicle they were in struck two police squad cars during a chase in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 11:20 p.m., officers were in a traffic pursuit near Newport and Linder when the vehicle they were chasing struck two police squad cars, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

The vehicle was stopped at School and Cicero, and three people inside were arrested, police said.

No officers were injured. Additional information was not available at 2 a.m.
