Moon Alert

After noon, avoid shopping or making important decisions for the rest of the day. The Moon is in Cancer.

If Your Birthday Is April 24

Author Sue Grafton (1940) shares your birthday. You like to guide people. To do this, you sometimes share your impressions with others. Family is important because you are a nurturer. Something you’ve been involved with for about nine years will end or diminish to make room for something new. This is a gentle year where you will learn to serve others. This is also a good year to travel.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Small appliances might break down or minor breakages could occur, especially this morning. You might burn the toast or run out of coffee. Later in the day, family discussions with a female will be practical, perhaps about repairs or family business.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Stay on your toes because this is an accident-prone day for you, but mildly so. Something will interrupt your daily routine, especially in the morning. Don’t stub your toe. Surprise news or an interruption to travel plans is likely. Nevertheless, you’re on the ball!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Keep an eye on your cash flow and money because you might find money or you might lose money. Possibly, something you own will be broken, lost or stolen. Basically, it’s a crapshoot. Therefore, be vigilant and take care of your stuff. However, you have clever, money-making ideas.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Today the Moon is in your sign at odds with wild, wacky Uranus. This makes you restless, nervous and impulsive. It can also make you feel rebellious. You’re singing, “Don’t Fence Me In.” You will likely meet a new friend who is interesting, young and clever.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a restless day. You might feel obsessed with something, especially something unusual or exotic. “My precious!” Meanwhile, people around you are restless and possibly irritable, which is why this is a potentially accident-prone day. But only mildly so.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

A female acquaintance might surprise you or you might have surprising news for someone else. Expect to meet someone, probably a female, who is bohemian or unusual. Whatever happens might cause you to rethink some former goals. “Now there is a cautionary tale!”

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Relations with authority figures are a bit dicey. You might want to tell someone off or vice versa someone (probably a female) wants to tell you off. Don’t say anything you will regret. Count to five before you speak. A lot of people feel rebellious and edgy.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Your travel plans might change or, alternatively, unusual, unexpected travel plans might fall in your lap. Holy Tripadvisor! Just go with the flow but know this — whatever does come your way will have a brief window, which means you have to act fast.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Someone might give you something or throw a favor your way. If this happens, act quickly because this window of good fortune will be brief. Don’t be afraid to say yes. However, the flipside might occur. Something you expected might be cut off. Wa, wa.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Relations with others, especially partners and close friends are a bit edgy. For one thing, people will say and do things that are unpredictable, which sort of sends your day sideways. Or you might be the one who wants to make a sudden change of plans.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Computer crashes, power outages, staff shortages and canceled meetings might occur at work, especially this morning. You might also be late. (Someone will be late.) That’s because unpredictable events — small ones — are going to create some speed bumps.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is a mildly accident-prone day for your kids, so be vigilant. Be especially vigilant this morning. How a family morning unfolds can totally affect everyone — and how their day then continues to unfold. Patience and kindness are the key. Earmuffs sometimes help.
