Come Monday, lanes will be reduced and closed along Chicago Road in south suburban Chicago Heights for resurfacing and traffic signal modernization.

Lanes reductions and closures will occur between 25th and 31st streets, according to a statement from the Illinois Department of Transportation. Crews will resurface Illinois Route 1, or Chicago Road, while new traffic signals will go up at 26th Street and Sauk Trail Road.

The project is scheduled to be completed in September, IDOT said.
