Police issued an alert after a pair of recent burglaries in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

In each incident, the suspect broke into a foreclosed home and removed copper piping and fixtures, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

The burglaries occurred:

Between April 4 and April 7 in the 100 block of North Laramie;

between April 16 and April 22 in the 4900 block of Van Buren.

Anyone with information regarding the burglaries is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 744-8263.
