A man who was shot April 17 in west suburban Maywood died Friday.

Christopher Moss, 22, was shot in the back on April 17 at 16th and Warren avenues, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Moss was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he died Friday at 5 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in the 900 block of South 22nd Avenue in west suburban Bellwood.

An autopsy performed Sunday ruled his death a homicide.

Maywood police could not provide details of the shooting Wednesday morning, saying only that no one was in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
