Man shot in West Pullman

A man was shot Sunday evening in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 24-year-old was walking in the 12000 block of South Parnell about 6 p.m. when someone walked up and fired shots, striking him in the buttocks, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
