Congratulations go out to Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed, who were married in a sunset ceremony in Malibu, California, on Sunday evening. The couple, who both dressed in white for their wedding, became engaged in January after dating for less than a year. On Sunday, Somerhalder tweeted that the day was “the most beautiful morning ever.”
The “Vampires Diaries” hunk and the former “Twilight” star expressed their well-known love of animals (they jointly own a horse, plus several cats and dogs) by asking wedding guests to make a donation to a favorite animal welfare charity, rather than give them a gift.
Somerhalder has not been married before. Reed was wed to “American Idol” star Paul McDonald prior to their split in March of last year.
