SHARE Police warn of West Lawn robberies

Police issued a community alert Tuesday warning of several recent robberies in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Two suspects walk up to victims and either demand or forcibly take their property, according to the community alert from Chicago Police.

The robberies happened:

  • -in the 3800 block of West 69th Place about 3:30 p.m. on April 13;
  • -in the 3700 block of West 69th Place about 8:30 p.m. on April 21;
  • -and in the 7100 block of South Avers about 9 p.m. on April 24.

One of the suspects is described as a black man between 15 and 25 years old, 5-foot-9 and 6-foot-1 and 180 and 200 pounds.

The other suspect is described as a black man between 15 and 25 years old, 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 and 180 to 200 pounds.
