Police are warning residents about a series of armed robberies reported over the past month at gas stations on the West Side.

In the reported incidents, one or more suspects armed with a handgun have approached victims at gas stations and stolen vehicles, cell phones, cash and credit cards, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

Two robberies were reported in the 300 block of South Sacramento, about 9:20 a.m. on April 9 and about 12:56 p.m. on April 27, police said. Robberies also occurred in the 600 block of South Independence about 2:20 a.m. and 11:13 p.m. on April 26.

The suspects are described as multiple males between 17 and 21 years old, standing 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9 and weighing 130 pounds, police said.
