Police are cautioning residents of the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood after a man robbed a pizza restaurant at knifepoint earlier this month.

About 1 p.m. on April 19, a man ordered a pizza at a restaurant in the 7900 block of South Cicero. After placing his order, he jumped over the counter, displayed a kitchen knife and took cash from the register, according to an alert from Area Central detectives.

The suspect was described as a black man in his mid-20s, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet, and 180-200 pounds. He was wearing a black skull cap, black and white patterned jacket, and dark jeans, police said.

Anyone with information should call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
