SHARE Police warn of West Town burglaries

Two burglaries a block apart in the West Town neighborhood have prompted police to issue a community alert.

According to Area Central detectives, a home in the 2100 block of West Ohio was burglarized about 4 p.m. on April 23. Another home, in the 2200 block of West Ohio, was burglarized about 6 p.m. on April 27.

In both cases, a suspect got inside the home through an unlocked window and stole property, police said.

The suspect was only described as a Hispanic man about 30.
