SHARE Police warn of armed robberies in East Garfield Park

Police are warning residents of the West Side about two recent armed robberies in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.

In both robberies, the victims were robbed at gunpoint on the street after getting off CTA Green Line trains, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The most recent robbery happened about at 8:30 p.m. March 25 in the 200 block of North Central Park, police said. The other robbery happened about 1:20 a.m. March 24 in the 200 block of North Kedzie.

One robber is described as a black male, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, between 180 and 190 pounds, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and mask covering his face, police said. The other suspects are three black males.
