SHARE 17-year-old boy shot to death at Calumet City party

A Far South Side teen was shot to death early Monday at a party in south suburban Calumet City.

Ramone Ogburn, 17, was shot multiple times at a party in the 500 block of Yates Avenue early Monday, according to Calumet City police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Ogburn, of the 14500 block of Cottage Grove, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy Tuesday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.

No one else was hurt in the shooting. Police declined to provide additional details about the incident.

There are no suspects and no one is in custody, police said.
