A man who led police on a chase Monday night, leading to a crash that left four officers injured, is being held on a $25,000 bond.

Armeer Asad, 25, was charged with aggravated fleeing causing bodily injury, and also received several traffic citations, according to Chicago Police.

About 10:45 p.m., Asad fled police trying to make a traffic stop in the 8000 block of South Manistee, police said.

During the pursuit, he intentionally crashed his vehicle into two squad cars in the 8900 block of South Chicago, police said.

Four South Chicago District officers were inside the squad cars, and were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where they were treated and released.

Asad, of the 2200 block of East 98th Street, was ordered held on a $25,000 bond Tuesday. He is next scheduled to appear in court Friday.
