A 24-year-old man was shot to death early Wednesday in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side, police said.

Shortly before 3 a.m., he was walking in the 2700 block of West Bloomingdale when a light-colored vehicle pulled up and someone with a gun got out and shot him in the armpit, police said.

The shooter got back in the vehicle, which took off north through an alley, police said.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
