Two men were killed and a woman was hurt in a shooting in the North Lawndale neighborhood Friday afternoon on the West Side.

About 5 p.m., the three were outside in the 4200 block of West Grenshaw when a gunman walked up and opened fire, police said.

Both men, ages 28 and 31, suffered gunshot wounds to the head, police said. The older man was found unresponsive on the ground and pronounced dead at the scene. The younger man was found in the driver’s seat of a bullet-riddled pickup truck and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died, police said.

The 54-year-old woman was shot in the left leg and taken to Saint Anthony Hospital, where her condition stabilized, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the fatalities but did not release further details Friday night.
