Tomorrow, fiery Mars moves into Gemini to stay until June 25. (Almost two months.) The last time Mars was in Gemini was in June 2013. Mars represents energy — and as it moves through our charts, it energizes different aspects of our lives. What puts an interesting spin on this journey of Mars in Gemini is that Mercury will also be retrograde in Gemini at the same time. Holy Twirling Twins! This means the very areas that will go sideways and suffer from delays, mistakes and hang-ups are the same areas that will be pumped with energy. Hmmm, a dramatic combo. It gives one pause. (Little furry ones.)

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Although your focus continues to be on money and cash flow, the next two months will be extremely busy. The tempo of your everyday life will accelerate. You will be high energy, and will identify so strongly with your ideas and opinions that you will likely get into arguments with others. Meanwhile, misunderstandings, misinterpretations, transportation delays and goofy mistakes will add to your frustration, further boosting your high-energy irritation. Oh oh, sounds like a job for Captain Calm — a new action hero, who is cool and collected. He catches you off guard with a long, unwavering stare. It’s unnerving. Try it on your enemies. But do not attempt to do this at home.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

As the financial wizard of the zodiac, you might be frazzled in the next month because both fiery Mars and retrograde Mercury are in your House of Money and Earnings. Mars will energize everything to do with cash flow and your ability to earn money, as well as your ability to spend it. But more than that, it will cause you to identify with your possessions and your bank account. Stop for a moment. You know you are not your bank account. (You are your car!) Because of this you might get into disputes with others about something you own. Or you might be obsessed about buying something. Meanwhile, Mercury will delay money and checks in the mail.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Look at you! This is a time when traditionally, you hibernate so you can strategize what you want your new year to be all about. But you’re not going to hibernate anymore because fiery Mars and retrograde Mercury are in your sign for the next two months. Mars will boost your energy, making you aggressive, proactive and direct in all your dealings with others. (Read pushy.) You will be more of a fighter for your own rights, and your physical energy will be high. “Go, go, go! Into the hole!” Naturally, retrograde Mercury will attract ex-partners and friends into your world, while creating turmoil and frustration with mixed-up communications and misplaced things. “Ride, Sally, Ride!”

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

There is a lot going on in your chart, dear Cancer. For starters, this month is a popular time. You’ll enjoy friends, groups and clubs. You might even assume the role of leadership with others. In fact, you probably will. However, fiery Mars and retrograde Mercury will be in the part of your chart that is hidden. Nevertheless, Mars is all about energy, so what you have is hidden energy. If you’re unaware of this, it can make you vaguely irritable. You might want to confront others. But the best way to handle this hidden energy is to confront yourself. You will enjoy working alone; however, you will also enjoy helping others, especially behind the scenes.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

The Sun continues to be at the top of your chart, casting a flattering light on you, which means you can use this. In addition, fiery Mars will energize the part of your chart that relates to friends, groups and goals. This is why you want to formulate goals and strategize how to pursue them. It also means you can coordinate your efforts with others because you have the energy to do this as well as the energy to lead the way for others. You will love physical activity with others (athletics, sports and sex) because you will be feisty and competitive. Plus you will want credit for whatever you do. Mars is not a team player; Mars is “I won!” (Don’t be too theatrical.)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You want to get outta Dodge because you’re hungry for adventure and a chance to learn something new and exciting. Nevertheless, many of you will sit tight because fiery Mars is at high noon in your chart arousing your ambition. Yeah, we’re talking major ego here. If you identify with a project — you will give it your all. Not only that, you will want to run things, and you won’t like being told what to do, which is why the next few months will be testing time relating to bosses. Co-workers might also feel threatened. On top of this, old bosses and authority figures from your past are suddenly popping up out of the woodwork. Not a boring week!

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This month is intense because you are passionate and emotional about everything. Fiery Mars will increase your passion because Mars wants to travel and explore more of the universe. Mars wants you to meet people from other cultures and different countries. You want you to learn more about religion, philosophy and politics. It will also trigger opportunities in publishing, the media, medicine, the law and higher education. Exciting stuff! But retrograde Mercury is also in the game, and while Mars makes you want to travel, Mercury will trip you up and causes delays and changes. Fortunately, they will cooperate when it comes to study and learning, especially finishing a writing project.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Do get more sleep because the Sun is opposite your sign now. Take naps and make your bedtime an appointment you don’t want to miss. Fiery Mars will stimulate your sex drive in the next two months, making sexual relationships intense. It will also encourage arguments and disputes about shared property, inheritances and insurance issues. Traditionally, this is not a good month to get a loan. You will likely attract powerful people to you now and might be forced into a confrontation. At the least, you will be forced to re-examine your own position on something. Fortunately, retrograde Mercury loves to re-think the past. “Was that really me?”

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You’re busting your buns working hard, doing whatever you can to get better organized. You are setting high standards for yourself, which is why many of you are working out in a gym as well. But now comes the tricky part: Fiery Mars will oppose your sign for the next two months — and this ain’t easy. Mars is a ball of fiery energy and when it opposes you, it creates tension in your life, especially with partners and close friends. It can even attract enemies to you. Meanwhile, you do not want to give in or compromise. So the upshot is that you will be annoyed with others. On top of this, Mercury retrograde will attract old friends and ex-partners from the past, and yes, you’ll be annoyed with them, too. Oh dear.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Two opposing messages will bombard you this month. One influence will make you work hard to get organized. You’ll be busy making To Do lists so that you can be perfect. (Ah yes, that elusive perfection, so seductive and so impossible to achieve.) The other influence makes you want to play hooky and forget work. You want to enjoy vacations, the theater, the arts, sports events and playful activities with children. And you want to swim in the arms of romance! Quite likely, you will straddle both energies like Jekyll and Hyde. But be aware that retrograde Mercury will create havoc and inefficiencies at work, even though Mars drives you to work hard. It is what it is.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

It’s all about home, family and your private life right now. Nevertheless, in the coming month, you will be playful and prankish! In part, this could be because you’re pumped because old flames are back on the scene, and perhaps, this boosts your ego. (The older I get, the better I was.) Competitive sports will probably be in the picture, as well. Meanwhile, co-workers and bosses will be pleased with your work this week. They see you in positive terms, and you will get an endorsement from someone or praise or perhaps even a raise. Yeah! Dealings with children will be challenging. Ditto for dealing with a romantic partner, sports events and all social occasions, especially related to the arts. Patience.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

This continues to be busy, fast-paced time for you filled with short trips, errands, conversations with everyone plus increased reading and writing. Unfortunately, while you are scattered dealing with your frantic schedule, you will also have to face increased demands on the home front. Aagghh! Confrontation with authority figures (parents? landlords?) might make things difficult. In addition, you can count on relatives sleeping on your sofa and eating out of your fridge because suddenly cousins you haven’t heard from for ages are on your door step. Some will deal with old repairs and renovations that hit the proverbial wall. Courage — you can get through this because fair Venus still promises fun, romance and pleasure! Go figure.
