Man shot in Uptown

A man was shot while walking early Monday in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.

About 3 a.m., the 23-year-old was walking with someone in the 4800 block of North Sheridan when two males got out of a white car and fired shots at them, police said. The shooters then fled the scene.

The 23-year-old was struck multiple times in the right leg and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
