A woman was shot in the leg early Monday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The 27-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of East 73rd Street about 2:35 a.m. when a silver car drove by and shots were fired, police said.

She was shot in the left leg and taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, where her condition stabilized.
