SHARE Police warn of apartment burglaries in Washington Park

Police are cautioning residents of the South Side Washington Park neighborhood after several apartment burglaries were reported within a block of each other in recent weeks.

According to an alert from Area Central detectives, the burglaries occurred about 2:15 p.m. on April 27 in the 5600 block of South Wabash, about 7:55 p.m. on April 28 in the 5600 block of South Michigan and about 12:15 p.m. on May 8 in the 5600 block of South Michigan.

In each case, one or more people break into an apartment and take property, police said. No description of any suspects was provided.
