Two men were shot during a bar fight early Friday in northwest Indiana.

About 3:30 a.m., two men entered the Portside Pub at 1516 Indianapolis Blvd. in Hammond, Ind., and began arguing with two other men, according to a statement from Hammond Police Lt. Richard Hoyda.

A fight ensued, and one of the men pulled out a handgun and fired shots, Hoyda said.

Both of the men who were already inside the bar at the time were shot, and a friend took them to a hospital, Hoyda said.

As of Monday morning, both men were still recovering at the hospital, Hoyda said.

No one is in custody as Hammond police investigate.
