A man shot more than a month ago in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side died Sunday.

Louis Walker, 28, was sitting in a vehicle in the 4700 block of North Broadway about 2:45 p.m. on April 7 when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, authorities said.

He was shot in the chest, arm and leg, police said.

Walker, of the 1400 block of South Ridgeway, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and pronounced dead at 6:46 a.m. Sunday, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy Monday found he died of complications of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death has been ruled a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.
