Man shot in Back of the Yards

A 34-year-old man was shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side late Monday afternoon.

He was inside a car about 4:15 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Ada when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, hitting him in the left shoulder, police said.

He drove off before calling emergency crews and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
