A man was shot Tuesday morning in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 23-year-old got into an argument with someone in the 6600 block of South Campbell about 8:25 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said.

The other person fired shots at the victim, who was trying to run away, Sedevic said.

He ran a few blocks and then called police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, Sedevic said.
