Jack Burton is Naperville Central’s barometer.

Redhawks coach Roger Strausberger calls Burton his team’s “energy.” When Burton plays well Central seems to play well.

“If he’s struggling, that’s been our struggle this year,” Strausberger said. “If he starts to struggle or doubt himself, it’s a matter of the other guys picking up that slack, which we’ve struggled to do sometimes.”
