At least nine people have been wounded in shootings on the South and West sides of Chicago since Monday afternoon, including a 62-year-old man shot during an attempted robbery at a Roseland bus stop Tuesday morning.

The man was waiting for a bus in the 700 block of West 111th Street at 5:05 a.m. when someone tried to rob him and fired at him, grazing his shoulder, police said. He was taken to Roseland Community Hospital in good condition.

A CTA bus was also damaged by gunfire, but no other injuries were reported, police said.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the head in a gang-related attack early Tuesday in Bridgeport, according to preliminary information from police. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition after the 1 a.m. shooting but further details were not immediately available.

Just before midnight, a34-year-old man was shot in a West Englewood drive-by attack.About 11:40 p.m. Monday, the documented gang member was walking in the 1500 block of West 60th Street when someone fired shots from a red van traveling westbound. He was struck in the hip and arm and taken to Stroger, where his condition stabilized, police said.

A 25-year-old man was critically injured in a Humboldt Park neighborhood shooting just over an hour earlier.He was driving with a passenger in his car about 10:25 p.m. in the 500 block of North Kedzie when shots rang out and the known gang member was struck in the upper back, police said.His passenger took the wheel and drove him to Norwegian American Hospital, and he later was transferred to Stroger in critical condition.

Minutes earlier, a 22-year-old man was shot in the Austin neighborhood.About 10:05 p.m., he was in a vehicle in the 1600 block of Mayfield when he heard gunshots, got out of his vehicle and was shot in the buttocks.He was driven by a friend to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition stabilized, police said.

An 18-year-old man was shot repeatedly in the South Shore neighborhood late Monday evening.About 8:35 p.m., he was walking in the1700 block of East 71st Street when someone got out of a dark-colored sedan and began shooting. The documented gang memberwas shot in the neck, arm and leg, and hewas taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition stabilized, police said.

A drive-by attack left a 34-year-old man injured in Back of the Yards late Monday afternoon.He was inside a car about 4:15 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Ada when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, hitting him in the left shoulder.He drove off before calling emergency crews and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Another South Shore shooting left two people seriously injured in Monday’s first daytime shooting. The possible drive-by attackhappened about 12:20 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Chappel, police said.A 17-year-old boy was shot in the buttocks, and a 20-year-old man was shot in the chest, police said. They were both taken in serious condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
