Ogden Avenue, or US Route 34, will be closed at the Canadian National Railroad crossing in west suburban Aurora for repairs come Friday morning.

The repairs will start 9 a.m. and a detour will be posted to direct traffic through the area, according to a statement from the Illinois Department of Transportation. Eastbound traffic on Ogden will proceed north on Eola Road, to east on New York Street, to south on Illinois Route 59 and back to Ogden.

Westbound traffic will proceed in the opposite directions along the same roads.

The project is expected to be complete by May 18, IDOT said.
